Nature of collaboration

A good day. Just finished my final piece of work for an M.Ed.
Had to comment on the statement: e-leanring and associated technolgies have changed the nature of collaboration in learning.
I think that's a bit strong - collaboration depends on people, and only the hardest technological determinist would claim e-learning can change human nature, surely?
